Diary of events  

Below is a list of events and activities being run by the Carers Centre. All are held at our premises at Bells Court except where specified.

Please be aware that the area based groups (with the exception of the North Sheffield group) will NOT meet in August.

> Parent Carer Lunch

All parent carers are welcome to come along to this support group. Please bring a sandwich and we'll provide cake and tea/coffee.

Meets at the Wolfe Road Centre.

Thursday 9 September
> Aromatherapy clinic

Hilary, our aromatologist, offers a 15-minute shoulder or hand massage to current carers. An appointment is essential for this service. For more information or an appointment please ring Hilary on Sheffield 236 7259.

Meets at the Salvation Army Hall on Tannery Street

> Benefits advice session

In association with Howells Solicitors, we are able to offer a benefits advice service to carers, either general advice about entitlements, or help completing Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance forms.

An appointment is essential for this service - please ring Sheffield 278 8942. 

Friday 17  September - 10am - 12 noon
> Legal Advice session

In partnership with Wrigley's Solicitors, we are able to offer a half hour of free legal advice about any matter such as power of attorney, wills, discretionary trusts etc.

Tuesday 21 September - 1.30 - 3pm
> Upperthorpe Carers Group

This group is restarting and will meet at the Philadelphia Church Hall. 

Thursday 23 September

Friday 24 September - 10.30 - 11.30am
> Chairobics

An hour of gentle exercise to music, led by an experienced facilitator, followed by refreshments. There is no need to book for this session - please just come along.

> Carers Art Group

All carers are welcome to come along to this friendly and informal art group which meets for sessions in various art techniques.

You do not need to book for this group - just come along.
