Who Cares? Reminiscences of Yemeni Carers in Sheffield

This unique bi-lingual book records the reminiscences of 13 carers from Sheffield's Yemeni community.

The stories were collected by noted local writer Debjani Chatterjee and translated by Abdul Razak Saleh.

The book is available free from the Carers Centre, but we have only a few copies left.

Information Pack for Carers

The Information Pack is aimed at all carers and former carers in Sheffield; professionals working with carers will also find it very useful.

The Pack tells you about the help and support available from the Carers Centre, from other organisations in Sheffield and nationally, and contact details and pieces of information carers need for immediate use or ongoing reference. It also contains lots of ideas to help carers keep strong and well.

The Pack is sent FREE to carers and former carers, joining the mailing list, but professionals can also obtain a copy by contacting us on Sheffield (0114) 278 8942. 

Newsletters

The Newsletter is aimed at all carers and former carers in Sheffield, and at professionals working with carers.

It contains lots of news about events and services here at the Carers Centre and about what is happening for carers locally and nationally. It also contains contributions from carers themselves, which we are always pleased to receive.

Directory of Carers Support Groups

Contains information about all the support groups for carers we are aware of in Shefield. Each entry lists contact details for the group, who it is aimed at, where and when the group meets and what activities it offers.

Guide to holidays, respite and short breaks

This guide contains lots of information about how you can get a break from caring, either with or without the person you care for. It covers accessible accommodation and holiday destinations, transport, funding breaks insurance, and even how to arrange for your pets to be looked after! The guide is available free from the Carers Centre, or you can download it below.

Carers Having A Say
