About Us Carer Involvement Network Carer Involvement Network We want to ensure we're continually improving our work and have recently appointed a new member to our team. Part of their role is to ensure that input from our increasingly diverse range of carers is included in everything we do. We launched our Carer Involvement Network for current and former carers as part of Carers Week 2023. The aim is to provide opportunities for individuals and organisations to come together and collaborate around issues they care about. This collective effort can then be used to create positive development and change in the different communities we're involved with. In this short video, Kerry Jones Kensah (our CEO) explains the background to the initiative. We’ve also included some key facts and figures about unpaid caring and the tremendous impact carers provide for their communities. Click here to watch >>> What is the Carer Involvement Network? We want current and former carers to help us develop new areas of support by telling us what you want to see. There are different ways for you to share your insight, thoughts and ideas that will help us shape your input to other organisations and our services. Some opportunities for your input will require a very short amount of time. Examples include signing a petition or completing a 2-3 question survey. There will also be some one-off activities that may take a few minutes. Examples include consultation surveys, focus groups, case studies, testimonials and interviews. We will also have activities that require an ongoing commitment and allow people to use their experience of caring to shape and develop new areas of work. Examples include becoming members of various groups or advisory committees. The Carer Involvement Network will decide how they would like to hear about these activities. This could be in the monthly email newsletter, on the website, or occasional ad-hoc emails. These communications will feature the latest opportunities such as surveys, invites to focus groups or events, or taking part in a case study. Have a Louder Voice and help shape our work It is completely up to you what you choose to respond to and your choice how often and what you get involved. Please click here to join the network >>> Help us by taking part in these 2-minute surveys now We'd be grateful to current or past carers or any employer who can spare a couple of minutes to give us your feedback on the following topics. All the surveys are anonymous and the feedback will be used to help us continue to develop our services for carers. You're welcome to take part in as many of the surveys that are relevant to you.
