Carers Week 2024 Carers Week (10-16 June 2024) Carers Week is an annual national campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the tremendous contribution they make to millions of families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support. The campaign brings together thousands of individuals and organisations who provide support for carers. All the events held during Carers Week help to highlight the vital role unpaid carers play in our communities and how important caring is. This year the national theme was ‘putting carers on the map’. Our plans for Carers Week were designed to help unpaid carers directly, plus health and social care professionals that refer or signpost carers to our services. Thank you for joining us to celebrate the tremendous contributions made by unpaid carers throughout the year. We're very grateful for all the support we receive from people that donate their time and/or money throughout the year. These contributions really help us provide services to thousands of unpaid carers in Sheffield. If you would like to make a donation to the Sheffield Carers Centre please click on the button above then follow the instructions - and many thanks for everyone's support.
