Volunteers play a key role in our mission to support unpaid carers across the city. We wouldn’t be able to offer the range of services to carers without the fantastic contributions of our volunteering team.

Giving your time as a volunteer can be an extremely rewarding experience and make a real difference to carers. It can make good use of your existing talents and help you develop new skills – as well as becoming part of a friendly team.

Almost any adult can volunteer and there’s no upper age limit. Some of the team have experience of being unpaid carers themselves, but it’s not essential. Our volunteering roles aren’t about providing care for someone. It’s more about offering a friendly ear over the phone to isolated carers or having a good chat with carers at one of our group events.
