Our thanks to everyone involved with the Sheffield Carers Roadshow held on 5 October at the Winter Garden and St Paul’s Hotel. This includes all the representatives from over 30 local organisations that had stalls on the day, plus the health and social care professionals who attended. Our thanks also to the many volunteers who helped with the set up and guided visitors throughout the day.
Finally, a massive THANK YOU to the hundreds of unpaid carers that came to the event.

Information about all the participating organisations, plus links to their respective websites, can be viewed here in The Show Guide >>> Below are some comments from the organisers plus a few on the many photos taken on the day, and a short slideshow of more photos will be available soon.

Kerry Jones Kensah: CEO at Sheffield Carers Centre commented: ‘I was very proud of the Centre’s involvement in the first ever Sheffield Carers Roadshow. It was a great  success that helped raise the profile of unpaid carers and recognise and value their contribution to our city. More than 30 local organisations were ‘all in one place for one day’ with all providing valuable information, support and advice for carers.

It was a pleasure to work with our partners from Sheffield Young Carers, Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire ICB in the organisation of the Roadshow.  A special mention goes to Joanne Ward and Kelly Greenwood from the ICB, for all their hard work and dedication that made the event work so well. Finally a big thank you to the Lord Mayor, John Burkhill (the man with a pram) and Steven (a trustee of Sheffield Young Carers) for officially opening the event’
